26 Jan (my g-grandfather) in Foleshill, Warwickshire. Married Ann THORPE in Fenwick, Yorks. They were married 25 Dec at St Mary Magdalenes Church, Outwood, Yorks. Amos was a coal miner and the census has him living in Leeds Road, Lofthouse Cum Carlton, Yorks.
Up toCoventry extended to the bottom of Cashs Lane after that it became Foleshill. Longford and Bedworth were both part of Foleshill. This can cause a lot of confusion with family history as families living in Bedworth will probably be listed as Foleshill.
Hi All I am after as much information as possible relating to Foleshill Road where Volmax & Hogarth Stores Limited, up to and including the Halfords building were located, for example pictures (especially aerial pictures), ownership details, whether anyone knows if the then owners of those businesses are still around and contactable.Around they moved to Foleshill, Coventry where James became the Landlord of the Prince William Henry Public House on the Foleshill Road.
Later the family moved to central Coventry where they stayed. Their first child, Edward Reading Howe, was born in Dunchurch in June but he died at 1 year old.
